CONTEXT Studios founder Andrea Lekushoff, a graduate of TFS’s Class of 1988, shares her path from TFS to founding two successful companies. After studying French at Western University, Andrea spent a transformative year and a half in Paris, before moving to Washington, DC, where she worked in the Canadian Embassy’s press office. These experiences, combined with her education at TFS, shaped her global perspective and set the stage for her future career.
Following her time at the embassy, Andrea worked in corporate communications and earned an MBA from Ivey Business School, eventually joining Deloitte's strategy consulting practice. In 2004, she founded Broad Reach Communications, a PR firm specializing in corporate and crisis communications, which has earned numerous national and international awards.
In 2024, Andrea launched CONTEXT Studios, a venture focused on producing high-end, feature-length documentaries that capture the legacies of individuals, entrepreneurs, family businesses and CEOs, offering a new approach to legacy preservation.
Reflecting on her TFS education, Andrea credits her bilingualism in French and strong work ethic for opening doors to career opportunities. She encourages current students to embrace adventures that challenge them and trust their instincts—advice she believes would have been invaluable earlier in her own career.
Her memorable TFS experiences, including studying Russian and traveling to Russia in 1985, still resonate today, and her commitment to community engagement continues, with leadership roles on several boards.
Andrea's story is a testament to the power of embracing unexpected opportunities and forging your own path.
